“Stepping up” usually refers to mounting a throne but I won’t be doing that any time soon! I mean stepping up my SCA activity. I’m plenty active in terms of attending events, being active in my household, and paying attention to my Laurel activities. But I miss my Shire (al-Sahid) and want to be more active with them, and I need to be more proactive with my apprentices. I don’t really tell my stories as often as I would like and I want to step up my encampment and garb decoration. Combine that with being a world-class procrastinator and there you are… but one of the things I love best about the SCA is that there is no end to creative activity and pursuit. I love that.
