I’m off to Caid’s Coronation, or I will be shortly. I added fabric borders to my blue bliaut’s hem and sleeves, which is going to make a big difference in appearance and in the body of the fabric. I’ll post pictures later and probably add them to my short series on the making of the bliaut. I’ll be wearing a veil and wimple for the first time too, and may drag out my “ermine” mantle. I hasten to add that I always wear a head covering, I have just been experimenting lately with the veil/wimple combination. I never thought it would look good on me but there is something about all that soft white fabric against a mature face. Rather nice.

Now if I could just figure out some handwork to bring…
