Last year around GWW was SO different than this year. Last year at this time the shining light that was Duchess Kolfinna died. Last year at this time my son and I were evacuated from our home because of wildfires. Last year at this time I was elevated to the Order of the Laurel. Last year at this time my household put on the best vigil anyone ever had. Last year at this time… well, I think  that was it for me and mine.

It was a most momentous War: a War of grief and laughter, a War of friendships lost and gained, a War of exile and of coming home.

This year I intend to make it a War of peace.
